Regnet en del igjennom natten men sto opp til fint vær. Videre rett over et fjellpass med en god del stigning. Landskap med mye stein, så ganske tungt å gå. Litt etter passet bedret terrenget seg og vi kunne følge fine stier i lyng landskap. Utrolig glade for å gå i fjellet, i sommervær. Har virkelig savnet det. Litt mer dette vi hadde forventet når vi startet turen så det er gøy.
Traff på Benedikte på vei ned fra fjellet i det hu tokk oss igjen. Hun jobbet på Breisjøseter som vi skulle passere. Hun slanket av på farten og slo følle med oss for de siste par kilometerene ned til hytta hu skulle til. Lykke til med studiene og med planlegging av din egen Norge på langs tur, som du skulle ta over et år! Høres ut som et spennende prosjekt, da du vil få 2 overgangsperioder mellom sommer og vinter, samt ekstra tid for flotte fjellturer. Benedikte var en spenstig dame som tokk seg en svømmetur i en av smeltevann elvene på vei ned. Vi er sjokkert.
Etter tips fra Benedikte satte vi opp teltet ved en strand, et par hundre meter borte fra stien. Fantastisk flott plass vi aldri hadde sett uten tips fra henne. Her fikk vi gjort litt earthing i sanda før vi satt opp teltet. Inspirert av tidligere earthing med Debbie. Sol og flott vær hele dagen. Bare litt skyer av og til. Slo camp tidlig og det var deilig da de siste par ukene har vært pakket med mye aktiviteter. Bare sitte rolig på stranda og spise chips for et par timer var en fin avslutning på dagen.
English translation: Rained a lot through the night but it’s nice weather. We are heading right over a mountain pass with a good deal of ascent. Landscape has a lot of rock, so quite slow to walk. Shortly after the pass, the terrain improved and we could follow nice paths in heather landscape. Incredibly happy to walk in the mountains, in summer weather. Really missed it. A little more this we were expecting when we started the trip so it’s fun.
Met Benedikte on the way down from the mountain as she overtook us again. She worked at Breisjøseter which we were to pass. She joined us for the last couple of kilometers down to the cabin she was going to. Good luck with your studies and with planning your own Norway trip, which you should take over a year! Sounds like an exciting project, as you will have 2 transition periods between summer and winter, as well as extra time for great mountain hikes. Benedikte was a resilient lady who took a swim in one of the meltwater rivers on the way down. We are shocked.
Following tips from Benedikte, we set up the tent by a beach, a few hundred meters away from the trail. Wonderful, wonderful place we would never have seen without tips from her. Here we did some earthing in the sand before we set up the tent. Inspired by previous earthing with Debbie. Sun and great weather all day. Just a little clouds sometimes. Set up camp early and it was lovely as the last couple of weeks have been packed with a lot of activities. Just sitting quietly on the beach and eating chips for a few hours was a nice end to the day.
Been thinking of you Liz and Benjamin . Such a nice time we all had . I am glad to know yours days are going well and Liz you are strong! Benjamin watched over all of us. Making sure we safely crossed those waters. Then everyone stopped so I could rest my feet in the stream. Norway and its people are wonderful ! Thanks
Ahh, Deb, thanks for such a nice message. Was fun to hike together. We had lots of fun having you guys join us for some days. Hope your journey further goes well. We were very lucky with where we were so you could exclusive a nice leg of Norway also 😊 happy Liz is building strength again after the hospital. 😊
